The Perfect Body Position in Enduro (And Why It Changes Everything)

EnduroSchool Admin April 1, 2026 1 min read

If there’s one thing that will instantly improve your riding, it’s this:

👉 Your body position.

Most riders try to fix technique—but ignore posture.

The Neutral Position

Think of this as your “home base” on the bike:

  • Stand up

  • Knees slightly bent

  • Hips over the footpegs

  • Elbows up

  • Head forward

  • Eyes looking ahead

This position gives you:

  • Balance

  • Control

  • Stability

Common Mistakes

❌ Sitting too much
❌ Straight legs
❌ Looking down
❌ Leaning too far back

These mistakes make the bike harder to control—especially in technical terrain.

Dynamic Positioning

Enduro is not static.

You constantly adjust:

  • Uphill → weight forward

  • Downhill → weight slightly back

  • Corners → outside foot pressure

  • Technical → light hands, strong legs

Simple Drill

Next ride:

👉 Ride a simple trail standing the whole time
👉 Focus only on posture
👉 Slow down if needed

You’ll feel the difference immediately.
